Recipe: Carrot Cake Smoothie & Ice Cream

Carrot Cake Smoothie Recipe

This shake is a game-changer if you love carrot cake or carrot cake ice cream.
You can freeze it and enjoy it as ice cream or refrigerate it and it's like yogurt (or as we say in the metabolic world, "Faux Yo."

  • (½ cup) Cold water
  • (2½ scoops) Vanilla Dream Complete Protein Powder or whichever LynFit Protein you prefer (using more shake makes it thick and creamy, like the real thing)
  • (½ cup) Cooked carrots (I use frozen pre-thawed)
  • (¼ tsp.) Cinnamon
  • (1/8 tsp.) Nutmeg
  • Ice, if needed

Combine ingredients and blend until desired consistency is reached. ENJOY!

Recipe: Strawberry Chocolate Clafoutis

Strawberry Chocolate Clafoutis

This is an easy French dessert you can use with just about any kind of fruit. Of course, I leaned it out and cleaned it up because I don’t like skimpy portions. This cleaner recipe allows me to indulge without guilt and it's good for the body and irresistibly delicious. Even my fussy teen loves it when it’s hot out of the oven with a dollop of "Faux Yo" Yogurt on top!

  • (1/3 cup) Premade Melt Fat Vanilla Milk (Vanilla adds a little sweetness than chocolate ) Melt Fat Milk: (1/3 cup) Cold water mixed with (2 scoops) LynFit Complete Protein Shake
  • (½ cup) Strawberries sliced or diced (I use frozen, pre-thawed by leaving out)
  • (2 tbsp.) LynFit Egg White Protein Powder mixed with (2 tbsp. water stirred until blended) *You can try substituting with 2 egg whites but it may not taste as good.
  • (1 scoop or 1 tbsp.) LynFit Complete Protein Shake (Chocolate or Vanilla)
  • (1 heaping scoop) LynFit Sinful Chocolate Sauce

  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Stir above ingredients (not strawberries) until combined (add strawberries last to avoid mushing them)
  • Spray a loaf pan or Ramiken with spray Pam and pour blended ingredients into it (I like glass for this)
  • Bake 15 minutes (if using a loaf pan, 5-7 minutes for Ramikens), keeping an eye on it so you don’t overlook it. This is a very lean and clean recipe, so this can happen fast and it will become spongy. I purposely undercook mine just a bit to avoid this.

I love to dust it with Sinful Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Dream Protein Powder (versus powdered sugar) and add heated berries dripped on top.

Enjoy hot out of the oven or cold. WARNING you won't have any left!

Recipe: Cleaner Cappuccino

Clean Chocolate Cappuccino

LynFit shakes foam because they are so fresh and clean. The premium
grade of protein they contain is a higher and better quality of whey isolate, which is why they foam when over-blended, while others don't.

I love, love, love that creamy dollop of foam topping my morning black coffee (aka a Cleaner Cappuccino). All you need is a good quality blender and some Complete Protein Advanced (Regular Complete Protein has isolate as well, but the manufacturer of the Complete Advanced has a machine that turns the whey into a lighter, finer powder, which froths easier). If you're wanting to make frothy smoothies, desserts, and beverages, I suggest using the Complete Protein Advanced.

Here is "Frothing 101" ...

  • (2 scoops) LynFit Complete Protein Advanced
  • (½ cup) Very cold water

And, it’s a good idea to have some ice handy just in case your froth flops, which can happen as a result of the water in your area. If this happens, use plain bottled water (minus any minerals).

  • Add the cold water to a clean, good quality blender
  • Add the (2 scoops) of Complete Protein Advanced
  • Blend on medium speed for 1-2 minutes, or until it froths to the desired amount
  • Spoon onto hot black coffee and sprinkle with some LynFit Sinful Chocolate Sauce or Chocolate Whey

NOTE: If I'm interrupted and my "breakfast" gets cold, I reheat my Cleaner Cappuccino for 30-45 seconds and the froth gets even better. The best part is it costs ½ the price, boosts metabolism, and is dairy-free, so you won't spike your blood sugar levels!

It's that simple. If your shake doesn't froth the first time, don't worry. It takes a little practice to become a "Protein Power Barista."
