Small Changes in Your Nutrition Lead to Big Weight Loss
Share
Today, I’m putting on my behavioral scientist hat (my favorite subject of all time) to help make your not-so-healthy daily habits healthier, so they work to your advantage.
The biggest mistake most of us make is that we over-complicate things and try to accomplish too much at once, which is almost always inefficient and leads to us quitting in frustration. One of the most overlooked, yet highly effective, strategies when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off for good is to KISS: Keep. It. Super. Simple.
When I’m faced with a client who wants the change, but doesn't want to make any changes (yes, it's a real thing), I start slow and make one change at a time (aka baby steps). I make it so easy to do they can’t not do it. Shockingly, they often get the best results because frankly, it's too easy to not be consistent. This always leads to a new healthier habit that replaces the old not-so-healthy habits that led to elevated blood sugar, weight gain, excess belly fat, high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and inflammation that leads to chronic aches, pains, arthritis, and tendonitis.
This proves the point that making one small simple change can lead to a hug payoff when you consider how many health ailments you're attacking with one healthier habit.
Tens of thousands have been unknowingly helped with this minimalistic approach. Walfredo Reyes, Jr. (drummer for the band Chicago) is one those.
Wally is one of my absolute favorite people on this planet. Not just for his incredible music talent, but because he has a huge, kind heart and is always striving to follow the "LynFit Law” as he says 😂
Truth... the late after concert buffets, lavish meals, and stress that all come with being in the road 12 months a year take their toll. Add playing for 3-4 hours non-stop daily while on tour and it wreaks havoc on more than just his diet and habits. It also makes reducing and rebalancing his body's inflammatory response a full-time job and top priority, so he has the energy to play again the following day.
One of Wally’s biggest obstacles is that he hates (shh... he doesn't think I know this about him) structure, doesn't like drinking protein shakes, or taking pills/supplements. These not-so-healthy obstacles create a block when it comes to real, lasting change.
I never stop trying to help, so I always look for a winning angle, and that’s exactly why I created our new Essential Amino Acids and made very sure it was super easy to blend into water, had zero calories, carbs, fats or sugars, and tastes so delicious you want to add it to your water versus forcing yourself.
Essential aminos are “essential,” meaning your body requires them to stay healthy. Yet, your body can't make them, deeming them essential in your diet.
There are 20+ different amino acids. Only nine of the amino acids are classified as essential and must be included in your daily diet in order for your body to function optimally and be metabolically healthy.
Sadly, being human means we tend to eat what we like versus what our bodies need. We tend to listen to what media or friends tell us to eat/drink versus following the proven science.
One of the ways to end the confusion created by marketing is to follow the science. At LynFit, we only carry tried and true, most researched nutritional products that work, and you can count on.
Sure this means we don't hop on the trends or fads that other companies sell. It does make our job harder because out of fear most people don't think such a small, simple, easy to do change can bring about big changes.
Losing weight is hard; not because we don't know what to do, but because we get in our own way and refuse to change our not-so-healthy habits. Habits like adding cream and sugar to coffee when we know we should drink it black. Or buying excess supplements that don't work and sometimes are part of the problem, causing blood sugar spikes, weight gain, and excess belly fat that acts like an emergency brake.
Bottom line... weight loss can be hard or even impossible if you continue to keep doing the same things you've been doing and expecting a different result. Yet, it doesn’t have to be hard. In fact, it's easier than you think when you are:
- Specific about your goal
- Strategic about what you put in your mouth, especially when it comes to supplements. Powders, collagens, gummies, green powders, juicing... you name it; you need to pay close attention to how it affects you and your weight.
Everything you eat, drink, and take has a direct affect on your metabolism. It's either slowing it or speeding it up.
Keeping it simple, starting slow one step at a time, and being consistent, so the weight you lose stays off is the key. For Wally, I simply had him add (1 scoop) of our LynFit Essential Amino Acids to his water every day; either first thing when he woke up or mid-morning when hunger and cravings used to strike. This prevented metabolic slowdown and cravings from derailing his efforts, while also keeping his body hydrated.
That one simple change of adding 1-3 scoops of Essential Amino Acids daily into his water provided his body with the #1 most important nutrient protein, minus the calories, carbs sugars, or fats!
- Accelerated weight loss
- Killed hunger and cravings
- Naturally energized and hydrated
- Reduced and rebalanced inflammation (easing aches, pains, and stiffness)
- Improved skin texture and reduced cellulite
- Tightened and toned lean muscle tissue
- Hydrated every cell and tissue in his body
- Boosted collagen production
- Alleviated bloat/edema
- Improved healing and recovery
If you’ve been taking collagen and you're not providing your body with the essential amino acids it needs — STOP! Drink LynFit Essential Aminos instead and watch what happens! No pills. No potions. Just real results!
