RECIPE: Babu's High Protein Peanut Butter Bon Bons

Babu's High Protein Peanut Butter Bon Bons

Meet Babu, our new baby boy. He is a Brussels Griffon, and, like our other dogs, he loves food, so we try to make delicious treats that are healthy for dogs and people too! You are going to love these High Protein Bon Bons that can fit into a healthy diet without preventing weight loss.

Do your dog’s’ instantly appear in the kitchen every time you open up the peanut butter jar? You're not alone. Full disclosure: we have three dogs -- a chihuahua who is 17 years young (who has kidney issues, which means dietary restrictions such as proper amounts of protein, careful not to over do it, and of course, low sodium, and gluten and grain-free); a Maltese, 10 years, following the same diet, but needs to eat a little less as she has a slower metabolic rate than the chihuahua (not easy when your dog loves food); and a new puppy who needs more calories due to his puppy play all day.

He is quite an athlete organically, but we do need to keep him lean and strong to protect his health (prevention is always the best solution). This amazing little bundle of joy comes from a long line of international champions, so he is eager to start showing and doing some agility training. Seriously, he loves anything to do with him, especially when food is involved.

This is one of our family’s favorites, no matter what time of year it is. And now it's Babu's favorite too! We make the bon bons smaller to accommodate his size. I like them smaller myself so I can have 2-3 small bon bons instead of one big one.

You'll only need three ingredients to make these Peanut Butter Protein Bon Bons. They don't require baking and take less than five minutes to mix.

Mix together: (1 cup) All-Natural Unsalted Peanut Butter + (1 cup) LynFit Metabolic Boosting Vanilla Whey or Vegan Protein Powder +  the desired amount of Honey (do not use raw honey).

Gently stir until combined, roll into small round balls, and place in the freezer until frozen. Then ENJOY!
