Lose 7 Pounds in 7 Days & Double Your Fat Loss

RSS

Did you know that just making a few small shifts in when you eat your meals may drastically improve your weight, and more importantly, double your body fat loss? According to research published in the Journal of Nutritional Sciences, it's that easy.

One of my favorite benefits of intermittent fasting is not only does it improve fat loss (especially from the belly area that makes our bodies resist weight loss), but also because it allows us to eat more cheat foods than a traditional diet. But how do you do it, and how does it work?

I believe in thoroughly enjoying life, and that includes enjoying delicious foods. I'm also passionate about maintaining a healthy weight and making sure I still fit in my clothes. If you're anything like me, and you've attempted to do either of these while living in the real world, you know how difficult it is to balance the two. That's why I love living the leaner lifestyle that includes drinking two metabolic boosting, nourishing Protein Shakes every day and the strategic use of supplementation, combined with an intermittent fasting (IF) eating plan full time... as a lifestyle, not a diet.

Once I tried this combination, I never went on another diet again because it allowed me to eat clean (even still some of the foods I loved—within reason, of course) and still remain healthy and fit into my clothes. And, to be honest, I’m in better shape at 50 years old than I was at 25, despite my thyroid and menopause issues. That is a powerful combination!

I'm not just now hopping on the metabolic boosting intermittent fasting bandwagon. I've been a proponent of it for many years—27 plus to be exact.

More than a decade ago, researchers from Yale University School of Medicine alongside a team at the University of Copenhagen explored fasting and fat loss, and their positive results in the lab have helped in my own pursuit of a healthy lean body ever since. If you’re trying to get back on track with your weight loss and you're interested in living lean while enjoying some of your favorite foods once in a while, remaining lean may be exactly the solution to the weight problems you've been looking for. To help you decide, I'm going to answer some common questions about intermittent fasting and offer some useful tips so you can get the most out of your own metabolic boosting intermittent fasting program.

What is Intermittent Fasting?

Intermittent fasting is simply the practice of going an extended period of time taking in zero calories—basically drinking only plain water and either black coffee or tea. While there are many different variations of intermittent fasting, my preferred method involves fasting for 16 hours, then eating all of my food during an eight-hour window, commonly called the "feeding window." This specific method of intermittent fasting is often called "16:8" fasting.

The reason I choose this particular method, with the strategic use of metabolic boosting supplements is that it’s the very best, most effective, and highly nutritious approach when it comes to losing weight (especially for woman and men over 40). It addresses the underlying issues that make our bodies resist weight loss, such as high blood sugar levels, low thyroid output that/slows metabolic rate, unbalanced hormones, inflammation, and worn out adrenals due to the stress of today’s world, and it never stops working.

It also allows me to attend events that serve food because of the built-in flexibility and using metabolic boosting Protein Shakes helps offset some of the higher calorie meals eating out contain. This combination boosts my metabolic rate versus slowing it due to me making the wrong choices and eating the wrong kind of foods for my metabolism.

Does Sleeping at Night Count as Hours Toward the Fast?

Yes, it does. In fact, because you're sleeping during the largest fast portion, you aren’t suffering or fighting with food. The reduced calories at night won’t affect your energy during the day and using metabolic boosting supplements during the day help nourish the body and keep you naturally energized so you can get through your busy days.

For example, if you eat your dinner before 7 p.m. and go to sleep by 10 p.m. (which is best for health and weight loss) then wake up eight hours later, you're already eleven hours into your fast with only 3-4 more to reach your goal of 15, which is where blood sugar levels are reduced most effectively.

NOTE: If 15 hours is too much for you, don’t stress; simply start with whatever you’re comfortable with. Any fast beats no fast at all.

What Should I Eat or Drink While Intermittent Fasting?

Obviously, you don't eat anything or consume any calories during your fasting hours—simply put, don't eat any food or shakes. Water, of course, is perfectly fine. Other than that, opt for zero-calorie, unsweetened beverages. My personal favorites include black coffee—with no milk, or anything else in it—and plain, unsweetened teas like black tea or green tea.

You can take your supplements and you should especially if you're over 40 and struggle with hunger cravings and a sluggish metabolism.

To enhance the cleansing effect during this plan, I suggest drinking warm water with lemon and focusing on cleansing foods to enhance health benefits versus foods that can block and constipate us.

Do I Need to Cram a Day's Worth of Meals Into Eight Hours?

One of the other benefits of combing intermittent fasting with LynFit's Metabolic Boosting Plan is that it makes this easier and doable, especially because most of us work during the majority of the 8-hour "feeding window," (AKA the best and happiest part of the day during which you get to eat).

The goal when trying to lose weight is always to reduce caloric intake while being careful to keep your nutrient levels high enough so your metabolism does not slow down and keep your body healthy by preventing muscle loss. Drinking metabolic boosting Complete Protein Shakes or Lean bars makes this easy and removes the stress of diet decisions while saving you lots of time and money.

Unless you’re trying to slow weight loss, or even gain a few pounds, then replace one meal with Shake or Lean Bar, but have a clean lunch instead. You definitely don't want to undereat or miss any supplements during your feeding window, or you'll compromise your long-term weight loss as well as your energy levels. Make your #1 priority to get in all of your nutrients, particularly metabolic boosting Complete Protein.

What are the Benefits of combining Intermittent Fasting with the Metabolic Boosting Lose 1 Pound Per Day Plan?

  • Accelerated weight loss (you can lose and keep off one pound or more per day)
  • Lose twice as much fat, specifically the dangerous belly fat that blocks weight loss.
  • Decreased cravings and appetite regulation
  • Decreased inflammation (fewer aches and pains)
  • Lower blood sugar, cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and blood pressure decline

You’ll also appreciate the increase in your energy and improved mood, not to mention, it’s the best way to delay and even reverse the aging process, and the research proves it. Research also proves that fasting for relatively long periods may result in greater fat-burning and accelerated fat loss, even when total daily calorie intake remains the same. And those areas that store excess fat begin to melt off regardless of your age,

I love living this way because it helps me keep my focus on life versus food or thinking about what to eat next, especially when combined with metabolic boosting Shakes, Lean Bars, and strategic supplements placed throughout the day to help keep hunger and cravings in check and my body nourished.

Most people find that they're able to have a few more of their favorite "cheat" foods during the feeding window and still see results, thanks to the carb-blocking, blood sugar balancing benefits you get when you take Accelerator Advanced before cheating.

How Does the Combo of Metabolic Boosting and Intermittent Fasting Enhance Fat-Burning Compare to Standard Diets?

One of the key mechanisms in fasting-induced fat loss has to do with an increase in the activity of genes that increase the number of calories the body uses and the amount of fat it burns—in a short speech, your Fat Burning Metabolism.

When you fast, your body turns on genes that encode for certain uncoupling proteins and enzymes that increase fat oxidation—which is to say it turns on the fat-burning mechanisms of the body. However, if you have any of the following issues, this may not happen:

  • You're more than 10 pounds overweight
  • You’ve struggled with your weight which led t chronic dieting
  • You have more than an inch of belly fat

And of course, the X syndrome, which means you have high blood sugar levels, high cholesterol, and triglycerides. If you have even one of these issues listed above, it becomes an obstacle that gets in the way of you losing weight and stops fat burning. A good example would be like trying to walk through a closed door—it won't happen. The reason why other types of diets fail is that they don't address these underlying issues and thus the dynamic duo of metabolic boosting combined with intermittent fasting addresses the underlying issues and also prevents your metabolism from slowing down.

What Should I Eat as My First Meal Following a Fast?

If you're trying to lose weight and burn fat and you're over 35, you need to be careful about the way you break fasts because what you eat either slows the metabolic fire, and often put it out completely, or it boosts, stokes, and adds gas to the metabolic fire, which is what you want when it comes to burning off stubborn stored body fat for continued, long-term weight loss. If the metabolic fires go out because you ate the wrong foods (such as high fat and high carb mealsthe classic breakfasts eaten in America) everything stops, which is what we are trying to avoid. That’s where drinking the metabolic boosting Shake comes in and works best, because it's clean, pure burning fuel. It revs up the metabolic fires, so they burn out of control, and that is what pushes our stubborn over 40 bodies over the edge and promotes weight loss and accelerates fat burning.

This dynamic duo of the metabolic boosting system combined with intermittent fasting makes my job easy as a fitness expert because it works every time, no matter how old you are or how stubborn your metabolism is. The Shakes and Lean Bars are all Gluten and Dairy-free, so it's very rare that anyone is allergic to such clean-burning fuels. It works every time, no matter what! Once in a while, I meet a stubborn metabolism (by the way, it's stubborn because of how you treated itthey don't just become stubborn for no reason) and it takes a week instead of a day. The only "if" is if you'll do it, not if it will work!

This dynamic duo also allows for some diet "slippage" that we all do. We are human, and there is no perfection, but that doesn't change the fact that high protein intake is important, along with healthy, wholesome food choices like eating our vegetables. I only ever suggest a delicious metabolic boosting Protein Shake and/or a Lean Bar when coming off of a fast, as opposed to one loaded with carbs that block the fat burning process. Research proves this! Work from the lab at Yale found that when you fast then refeed with a high protein low-carb meal, the activity of the genes that increase calorie and fat-burning are further increased with the meal. However, when you refeed with a high-carb meal, the activity of many of these genes is decreased.

I recommend a high-protein meal—for example, a Complete Protein Shake—as your initial food consumption following a fast, and if all else fails, three egg whites or the Egg White Shake for ease and portability.

How About My Supplements? Can I still Take Those During My Fast?

Avoid taking all other supplements not intended for weight loss and metabolic boosting. Most contain ingredients (yes, even nutrients that are good for you) that raise blood sugar levels, wreak hormonal havoc, and counteract what we are trying to accomplish.

You should continue to take your prescribed medications or anything that's prescribed by your doctor, but it's important to know that you can expect changes as far as lowering of blood pressure, reduced cholesterol and triglycerides, and especially the lowering blood sugar levels on this plan... and they happen quickly. Pay close attention to your body and stay in communication with your doctor or health expert so they can lower dosages as need and when needed.

Most prescription meds have horrible side effects that make you feel horrible (even sick), and when you start losing weight, these side effects can become even more pronounced. If you stay on top of this, your doctor can lower your dosage as needed, and don't forget to count that blessing because that's exactly what you want to happen. We all should be aiming to go off or avoid medications and focus on a more natural holistic approach that improves health and saves you money.

Prevention is the best cure! If you feel sick or lightheaded (even nauseous and headaches), it's called the low carb flu. It's your body adjusting and can be the lowering of blood sugar. Don't panic, drink lots of water and it's okay to have an apple to slow down the process a bit so you can navigate your way through. However, while I get why people feel the need to snack when they feel even the slightest little bit weak, most of the time that's exactly how we became overweight to begin with, so stay hydrated and when in doubt drink a Complete Protein Shake or eat a Lean Bar, but do not fall into the trap of going back to your old ways of eating for a quick fix. Taking that one bite is a very slippery slope, and only you know how best to navigate it for yourself if you're being honest.

What About my Vegan Shake or Green Juice?

Avoid these foods as they lack the right amount and proper amino acid profile to be okay for fasting. Did you know that amino acids combine to form protein? When a protein is complete, like LynFit's Complete Protein Shakes and Lean Bars, there are 20 aminos that are used as the building blocks, including the nine essential amino acids (leucine, isoleucine, valine, tryptophan, threonine, phenylalanine, methionine, lysine, and histidine), as well as the 11 non-essential amino acids (arginine, serine, cysteine, glycine, proline, alanine, tyrosine, aspartic acid, asparagine, glutamic acid, and glutamine). Vegan or inferior store-bought, pre-made shakes do not contain all of them (that's why they are so cheap too), so they won't boost metabolic rate and can't protect your body.

LynFit has made it easy and removed the decision-making process for you by combining the right high-quality ingredients into each of their supplements in exactly the dosages need by the body to promote fat burning and boost metabolism without slowing your weight loss. It's the best way to lose weight and boost health. Doesn't your body deserve the best?
