An Interview with Lisa Lynn, Part 2

Today, we continue with our interview with Lisa Lynn. If you missed Part 1, we encourage you to read it now.

Lisa, LynFit Nutrition founder and owner, talks about her company and shares her purpose, passion, products, and nutrient advice for those trying to lose weight and melt off stubborn belly fat when other programs have failed them. Here is a portion of that interview with a few edits for clarity.

Who was your favorite celebrity to work with?

The band, Chicago, of course! My favorites are the drummers/percussionists ♥️ Tris Imboden, Walfredo Reyes Jr, Ramon Yslas, and Jason Scheff (formerly of Chicago). I'm a confirmed groupie and see Chicago and Earth, Wind, and Fire play every chance I get! (Be sure to check out my Facebook page for photos.)

Let's talk Martha Stewart... You were on her show over 30 times, correct? How did that happen?

It was a spur-of-the-moment thing that I didn't expect. According to producers, the VIPs loved watching Martha and I together, and it boosted ratings, so they kept bringing me back. What most people don't know is that I don't like cameras, so this was stressful for me; plus, I was a new mom and very tired - not feeling my best.

Is it true that Martha created a gym for you to work out of in her film studio in Westport, CT?

Yes, and it was a way to make it easier for Martha to get her workouts in, as her life was getting insanely busy. I was very happy at the gym where I was working out of, but I couldn't refuse helping Martha stay fit.

Who else did you work with there?

I got to work with some really great people there: Oprah Winfrey, Jenn Garner, Barbra Streisand, President Clinton, Bobbie Brown (makeup artist), Harry Connick Jr, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Bill and Linda Gates, and many more. Martha insisted that everyone who visited her studio received a workout and/or my specialty stretch that related them from head to toe, which was my pleasure.

How many days a week did you see Martha Stewart? What did you talk about while you were working out?

Seven days, most weeks, and everything from recipes, gardening, dogs, men, and travel.

Did Martha work out hard, or was it mostly Pilates?

Martha has more energy and strength than most and loves competition. Once you woke her up, get out of her way! She works very hard and can outrun most 30-year-old men! No frou-frou workouts for her. She insisted on keeping her body in working order.

Did Martha ever show up at your house?

LOL... yes, often. But once I really didn't expect her on a Christmas morning, and like anyone would do, I panicked. I had little kids at the time, and my house looked ransacked (very unlike me I’m a bit anal) - toys and wrapping paper everywhere. Martha wanted to see the toy Harley Davidson we got our 2-year-old, and she rode it around the house with him all morning. She has a very fun side to her that people wouldn't expect. She also got my daughter two Himalayan kittens (one wasn’t an option; she said they would be lonely).

What's your most proud moment from the last 30 years?

My all-time favorite was working with my melanoma surgeon and dear friend, Dr. Narayan. Together, we wrote the book Win the Fight against melanoma. He was one-of-a-kind, and I learned so much about cancer research. All proceeds from that book, as well as a portion of the proceeds from LynFit Vitamin D3 Boost are donated to melanoma research to win the fight against melanoma. Sadly, Dr. Narayan lost his battle with cancer, but his memory lives on, and I will continue to do the work we set out to do in his honor.
