Top Reasons for Hair Loss & How to Regrow It

After age 40, 40% of women will struggle with hair loss due to declining collagen levels and hormonal changes, including cortisol. These stress hormones affect thyroid hormones that, when combined, can cause rapid hair loss.

While most people already know that stress, aging, weight loss, and hormonal changes can cause hair to fall out, many things we do daily can also contribute to hair loss and make it harder to regrow hair.

For example, medications used to treat hypothyroidism, excessive amounts of vitamin D (like the 50,000 IU prescribed by their doctor), chemo, radiation treatments, hair color, hot irons, shampoos, pulling hair back, and genetics.

The following nutritional supplements can make hair loss worse, and sadly, out of fear, many people reactively start taking excessive amounts of collagen and random nutritional supplements to stop hair loss and help regrow their hair.

The problem is that some supplements can create hair loss or make matters worse. The following nutritional supplements can be part of the problem.

In addition to the already mentioned excessive vitamin D intake and thyroid medication used to treat hypothyroidism/autoimmune disorders that cause hair loss, the following list may surprise you. You may even be taking a few of these yourself.

Collagen capsules or powders sold in large chain stores that use inferior sources of collagen, and many of the collagens sold in stores today, are being sourced from China, where little to no testing is done. Supplements aren’t regulated and contain lead and other unknown ingredients that harm health and cause hair loss.

Also, most collagen capsules are not digested or absorbed by the body. They can clog the liver, which plays a vital role in nutrient assimilation, meaning whether or not the nutrients make it into the cells where they are used.

Overuse/improper use of certain nutrients such as zinc, biotin/B vitamins, and vitamin A, whether from diet overdoing green Macca, seemingly healthy smoothie powders, or using hair supplements.

Additionally, taking a daily multivitamin or single vitamin/mineral supplement without realizing that several of the nutrients are already present in the other supplements creates an overabundance of nutrients that spills over and is excreted by the body. Nutrient depletion is created, the opposite of what you try to achieve when taking vitamins or supplements.

Last but not least, collagen IS NOT a complete protein. Suppose you don't combine collagen with a complete protein like our calorie-free Essential Aminos or Natural Whey. In that case, its absorption rate is much lower, so you won't experience robust hair regrowth. It's best to combine collagen with protein to enhance absorption. The combo acts like a turbocharger on your car.

Here is what I did with the model in the pictures you see in the above TV segment.

  1. Stop taking all other supplements and cleanse your gut for 2-3 days using LynFit Raspberry Ketone Cleanse & Restore, taken before or with the evening meal. Take (2) with dinner.
  2. Take (1 scoop) three times daily of LynFit Metabolic Collagen Powder in water first thing in the morning, again at noon, and before bed.
  3. Take (2) LynFit Pure Omega 3 daily—one first thing in the morning and one right before bed.
