Together We Are Stronger!

RSS

Hey Guys... Lisa Lynn here!

It's been more than two months since the COVD-19 coronavirus was declared a global pandemic. We have all witnessed the world come to a halt, and churches, schools, and businesses were forced to closed. Stay-at-home orders turned even the busiest streets into empty spaces (perfect for metabolic walking... lol). If you have felt stress, fear, isolation, or frustration at any moment, you're not alone.

There is some good coming out of all of this, which is how I choose to live my life. I'm always looking for the good in every possible situation and trust God for everything we need, especially to keep us strong as the first line of defense. Live your life one day at a time, and when that becomes too much, one moment at a time.

“GOD will ALWAYS give you the grace for your place.” - Joyce Meyer

If you look for the good, you’ll see examples of God at work, even in the midst of a crisis like this. You'll notice the resilience of the human spirit, which is our superpower.

You'll witness the collective human intelligence of physicians, researchers, scientists, and healthcare workers from around the globe (God bless you all ❤️) focus and align their energy to find solutions. And my favorite part... praying on rooftops and in operating rooms. What could be more healing than that?

As a melanoma survivor, associate chaplain, and author of Win the Fight with the world-renowned surgeon, Dr. Deepak Narayan from Yale-New Haven Hospital (our book on how to win the fight against cancer), my mission is not to have people focusing on their fear or even treatments that comes later. Decide to focus on faith instead of fear, which brings more peace, healing, or pain relief than any other method (especially if you're grabbing Xanax or other prescribed or over-the-counter medication, including alcohol).

Begin to trust God for everything you need and go to HIm first before you go to people! (Yes, this includes the news, doctors reports, and especially opinions.)

Proverbs 3:5-8 tells us to lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all our heart, and do not rely on our own insight or understanding. He will make straight and direct our path. Do not be wise in our own eyes, we can't solve our own problems. WE NEED GOD!

We don't realize that God is all we need until He is all we have!

Fear and worry make things worse, not better. It won't protect us, and in fact, it's been proven to make us sick because it lowers our resistance.

I want to leave you with this. Print it out and hang it on your refrigerator for your family and loved ones to meditate on.
