Super Slimming Snacks to Trigger Weight Loss February 04 2019

If you're trying to lose weight starving yourself, snacking slimmer may be your best bet. A couple of years ago most people had never heard of metabolic boosting, and I used to spend my time trying to convince people to stop overeating. Needless to say, most of us just like food way too much and have gotten into some not-so-slimming habits like eating what we want, when we want, and as much as we want, despite our health and weight loss goals.

20-something client: “What can I eat? I'm starving 2-3 hours after I drink the shake (which I love by the way.. best I’ve ever had, and it doesn’t make my stomach hurt or my back break out).”

Me: "The fact that you're hungry 2-3 hours after is a great sign. It means your metabolism is working! It’s the desired effect, and all you have to do is not eat for those three hours. Your body will begin to burn off that stored fat, and you’ll feel energized. Your hunger will go away as your body is now beginning to burn stored fat."

Plus, they want him so ripped you can see is abs when his driving suit is unzipped, which means he needs to push things a bit further than usual, so hunger is part of this equation. I always tell people, "If you're not hungry, your overeating or your metabolism is dead." The takeaway here is don't panic when you get hungry. It's good for your metabolism, jump-starts weight loss, and is one of the healthiest things you can do because it lowers bad cholesterol, raises good cholesterol, and lowers blood sugar. By losing weight, you remove lots of pain-causing pressure on your joints, so your whole body feels better.

 SLIMMING SNACK STRATEGY #1

Eat mini-metabolic boosting protein and fiber meals every three hours (but not sooner) and no skipping mini-metabolic meals either! If you're late, that’s okay, but do not skip! 

An ideal metabolic meal plan looks like this: 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 3 p.m., 6 p.m.  four mini meals eaten between 9 a.m. and no later than 6 p.m.

Eating on a metabolic meal schedule also keeps you from getting to “hangry,” so you have more control over what and how much you eat. That’s the best way to lose weight and burn fat.

Of course, you could eat (3 oz.) of white fish and sauerkraut, but seriously, how convenient is that? Do that for dinner when you have time, and people around you won't be offended by your breath.

Drink half your body weight in ounces of unsweetened green tea or water (hot is better) every day.
