The answer is yes, but it's not what you think or what Google or Wikipedia tells you when you search, which the internet and social media and TikTok says is berberine.
Berberine is being hailed as natures Ozempic. Talk about fake news 🤦♀️ saying its weight loss effects are comparable to prescription drugs and that it's known as a master regulator of mitochondrial biogenesis, while lowering glucagon release.
What is Berberine?
Berberine is a naturally occurring compound in goldenseal, Oregon grape, tree turmeric, and other plants.
What Does Berberine Actually Do?
Among other things, berberine is best known for being good at reducing and rebalancing inflammation, which, you could argue, helps weight loss. But, what it doesn't do well is target the reasons we gain weight to begin with, or specifically address them, making it easier to lose weight.
