Get Back On Track After Splurging This Summer

Your eating and drinking whatever you want during the summer months can wreak havoc on your body. If you're trying to get back on track and lose the extra weight you gained, but no matter what you do you just can’t seem to lose weight ... it's not just in your head. It's in your metabolism!

You can actually cause damage to your metabolism making it practically impossible to shed an ounce or burn off that muffin top. What you don’t know can hurt your weight loss and can prevent you from burning off fat. If you gained more than five pounds, you can bet your weight gain switch is stuck in the "on" position, and it's gonna take some extra effort to flip that switch back off.

But before we talk solutions, it's important to understand how you gained weight in the first place. Here are a few facts you need to consider:

  • The scale doesn't lie. If you're overweight, you overate. It's really that simple. We only need a third of the food we eat. The rest gets stored as fat. Most of us are in a huge denial about serving sizes and what an actual portion really is. That is how we justify excess eating, and it's what’s causing this country's severe obesity epidemic. When we see an actual portion, we start complaining that we are starving.

  • It's not always about the amount of food or drinks you consume, but rather the type of food or drink. More importantly, it's the number of carbs. This includes the sugar and fat you ingested that caused you to gain weight and is preventing you from losing weight. The, "I only ate a little," just won't cut it anymore, especially if you're 30-years-old, or older. Eating even a little extra fat and carbs can add up to a lot more weight gain. Making matters worse is the damage caused by not eating enough of the right things, causing your body to resist weight loss.

  • A little bit of fat equals a lot of extra hidden calories that are likely to be stored as fat. Fat contains the highest number of calories per gram, so a little bit equals a lot of calories. You've gotta know your numbers as a little bit quickly adds up to lot more than you think. Twenty grams of fat is the maximum amount of fat you should eat per day. Keep in mind that those trendy high-fat, low-carb diets such as Paleo® and Keto are often too high in fat. Too much fat in your diet may also cause damage to your liver, kidneys, pancreas, and metabolism.

  • Alcohol is the worst when it comes to weight gain. It not only spikes blood sugar levels, but it also has no use or nutritional value in the body, so it's stored as fat, making it impossible to lose weight and prevent fat burning. It will also cause intense hunger and cravings for days after, making it impossible to stick to your plan. Quit the booze, and you'll melt off belly fat faster.

Juices (those seemingly healthy energy drinks and smoothies) also fall into this category. These blood sugar spiking, liquid sugar drinks essentially turn the weight gain switch on and turn off the weight loss switch, causing your body to become weight loss resistant.

The most effective way to get back on track also happens to be the fastest and easiest way to:

  • Turn off the weight gain switch
  • Turn on the weight loss switch
  • Lower blood sugar levels
  • Decrease cholesterol and blood pressure
  • Boost metabolism by 25 percent so you can lose a pound per day and melt belly fat
  • Block cortisol levels (the stress hormones that make losing weight difficult and cause weight gain in the belly, hips, and thighs)

Follow these three steps to begin getting back on track:

  1. Don't eat for 12 hours after your last meal. Waiting 12 hours after your last meal to eat breakfast is one of the healthiest things you can do for your body. Don't worry, you won't starve. In fact, you'll cleanse your system and reboot your metabolism. It's an intermittent fasting technique that is also one of the best ways to delay the aging process while giving your internal organs a break.

  2. Replace your current breakfast that's full of fat and carbs with a LynFit Weight Loss Smoothie. It will boost your metabolism, making it easier for you to lose weight and help repair the damage you've caused to your metabolism by lowering blood sugar levels. This sets up the environment your body needs to push your body to lose weight.

Weight loss smoothies cannot be store-bought and should not contain any fruit or milk (milk contains lactose and lactose is sugar). It must be pure, clean, metabolic boosting whey protein only!

Drinking clean, pure, whey also prevents your metabolism from slowing down It's so nutritious that it tricks your body into thinking it has just received a huge meal. LynFit Shakes only have 155 calories and contain the perfect amount of protein (24 grams). They do not contain all of the carbs and sugars of store-bought and gourmet smoothies, so they boost metabolism by 25 percent versus blocking it the way your cheat days did :)

Here's a cleaner, leaner way to make a delicious, lean-out Pumpkin Latte that will boost your metabolism and promote fat burning, allowing you to begin to make up for those summertime sins.

Combine the following in a shaker cup:
    (¾- 1 cup) Pre-made pumpkin-flavored black coffee
    (5) Ice cubes
(2 scoops) LynFit Vanilla Whey Protein (tastes like coffee creamer)

Pour over ice ... tada! It's that simple.

  3. Repeat breakfast for lunch with a tossed vegetable salad.

Out of all the methods available, this is the most effective way to lose weight. It's the healthiest, and it makes living lean so easy because it offsets the real world eating errors we all make.

I personally love it because it allows a little wiggle room for those things we just can't live without—like a piece of dark chocolate or a small frozen yogurt. This allows you to be human. And it removes the guesswork and confusion about what to eat.

If your life is busy like mine, you'll also appreciate the grab-and-go factor. Face it, you don't need another diet, you need a lifestyle change, so you not only lose the weight, you keep it off for good. So what are you waiting for? You could be losing weight. And all for less than $5.00 a day!
